This is a challenging trek around Dhaulagiri the world’s ninth highest mountain crossing two Himalayan passes.

This trek explores a wild, remote and off-the-beaten-track area of the Nepal Himalaya. The trek starts at Beni (or Darbang village) and then follows the Myagdi Khola river passing through beautiful Gurung villages with terraced fields framed by views of the Dhaulagiri massif. After walking up the narrow Chonbarden gorge towards Dhaulagiri Base Camp then cross French Pass into Hidden Valley. After crossing Dhampus Pass the trek start to descent to Jomsom and then at the end of the trek fly out to Pokhara.

Day 2Beni to Babiya Chaur: Trek.
Day 3Babiya Chaur to Darbang: Trek.
Day 4Darbang to Takum: Trek.
Day 5Takum to Muri: Trek.
Day 6Muri to Bagar: Trek.
Day 7Bagar to Doban: Trek.
Day 8Doban to Italian Base Camp: Trek.
Day 9Rest day at Italian Base Camp: Acclimatization.
Day 10Italian Base Camp to Dhaulagiri Base Camp: Trek.
Day 11Dhaulagiri Base Camp to Hidden Valley (5000m.) crossing French Pass (5360m.): Trek.
Day 12Rest day at Hidden Valley: Acclimatization.
Day 13Hidden Valley to Yak Kharka crossing the Dhampus Pass (5200m): Trek.
Day 14Yak Kharka to Tukuche: Trek.
Day 15Tukuche to Ghasa: Trek.
Day 16Ghasa to Tatopani: Trek.
Day 17Rest day at Tatopani (Natural hot spring)
Day 18Tatopani to Ghorepani: Trek.
Day 19Ghorepani to Tikhedhunga via Poonhill: Trek.
Day 20Tikhedhunga to Nayapul to Pokhara: Trek, drive to Pokhara.
